How to Remove Acrylic Nails at Home

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

- Nail file or e-file - Cotton balls - Acetone - Nail buffer - Cuticle pusher - Moisturizer

Step 2: File Down the Acrylic

Carefully file off as much acrylic as possible without getting too close to the natural nail. Use a hand file or e-file for this step.

Step 3: Soak in Acetone

Soak the nails in acetone for 10-15 minutes, or until the acrylic has softened. Use cotton balls soaked in acetone to help loosen the acrylic.

Step 4: Push Off the Acrylic

Step 5: File and Buff

File and buff the natural nails to smooth out any rough edges. Apply moisturizer to the nails and cuticles to condition them.
